Ã山ǿ¼é, with its iconic campus located in , offers a classic military college education for young men and women focused on leadership excellence and academic distinction. The approximately 2,300 members of the South Carolina Corps of Cadets are not required to serve in the military, but about one-third of each class earn commissions to become officers in every branch of U.S. military service. Citadel alumni have served the nation, their states and their communities as principled leaders since 1842. Ã山ǿ¼é Graduate College, founded more than 50 years ago, offers dozens of graduate degree, graduate certificate and evening undergraduate programs in the evening or online. Consecutively named Best Public College in the South by U.S. News & World Report for 12 years and No. 1 Best Public College for Veterans in the South for five years.
There are about 2,300 undergraduate students who make up the South Carolina Corps of Cadets. Out of the Corps of Cadets, 1 out of 3 graduates earn a military commission. Students can choose from 31 Majors, 57 Minors, pre-health professions, and pre-law (a concentration in political science). The 11:1 student-to-faculty ratio and 95% of faculty having PhD’s (or the highest degree offered in their discipline) guarantees students a quality education. Another 1,000 students attend the Graduate College, a civilian evening and online program that offers graduate and professional degrees as well as undergraduate programs.
Corps of Cadets
Ã山ǿ¼é is most recognized for its Corps of Cadets, drawing students from about 45 states and a dozen countries. Graduate College
Ã山ǿ¼é has gained recognition for the graduate programs as well. There are over 25 graduate degree programs with over 15 concentration options, over 25 graduate certificate programs, and 12 college transfer programs. Students can take classes in person, online, or hybrid.
